The episode, titled “The Rise of Tara,” focuses on the transition from the tragedy at the temple to the vibrant but mysterious life of the new protagonist.

The Divine Rebirth

The episode opens with a recap of the previous day’s climax. After Jagatpati buried Noyon’s infant daughter alive, a miraculous light from the sky guided an old priest to the spot. He discovered the baby lying unharmed on a bed of periwinkle flowers (Noyontara). He named her Tara, believing her to be the earthly vessel of Goddess Tara herself.

18 Years Later: Meet Tara

The scene shifts to a colorful village fair. We are introduced to Tara (played by Shruti Bhist). Unlike her mother’s solemn nature, Tara is spirited, carefree, and has a passion for dance. She is seen performing at a local temple festival, her movements echoing the divine grace of her mother. However, the villagers remain divided; while some revere her, others—influenced by old rumors—consider her a “child of ill omen.”

The Shadow of the Past

The old priest, now frail, warns Tara to stay away from the Sengupta mansion (Pari Mahal), which has fallen into decay over the last two decades. He senses that the “Dark Guru” who orchestrated Noyon’s death is still active and searching for the heir to the divine powers. Tara, curious and rebellious, feels an inexplicable pull toward the mansion, often hearing her mother’s voice in the wind.

The Climax: The First Encounter

The episode ends with Tara accidentally wandering into the restricted forest area near the mansion while chasing a lost calf. She comes face-to-face with a mysterious businessman, Arjun, who has arrived in the village to buy the Sengupta property. As their eyes meet, a sudden thunderstorm erupts, and the mark of the “Third Eye” briefly glows on Tara’s forehead. The final shot is of the Dark Guru in his cave, opening his eyes and whispering, “She is finally awake.”

Precap for Tomorrow:

Arjun finds an old portrait of Noyon in the ruins of the mansion and is struck by the resemblance to the girl he met in the forest. Meanwhile, the priest reveals to Tara that her mother didn’t just die; she was betrayed by the very family Tara is now drawn to.
