The episode picks up exactly where the last one ended. Jagriti is standing on the ledge of the old well, holding the red file high. The Police Inspector mocks her, but Jagriti’s resolve is iron-clad. She tells him, “If I go down, this file goes into the deep water where your masters can never reach it.” Sensing her seriousness, the Inspector orders his men to step back, but he secretly signals a sniper hidden in the bushes.
Suraj’s Intervention
Just as the situation reaches a breaking point, Suraj creates a distraction by setting off a cluster of firecrackers he brought, mimicking the sound of gunfire. In the ensuing confusion, Jagriti leaps—not into the well, but onto a nearby sturdy branch. She disappears into the canopy of the forest, leaving the police fuming. Suraj is arrested on the spot for “obstructing justice,” but he smiles, knowing Jagriti has escaped.
The Zamindar’s Panic
Back at the haveli, the Zamindar receives news of Jagriti’s escape. He realizes that the District Magistrate (DM) is due to arrive in less than four hours. He calls for a “Village Council” (Panchayat) meeting, intending to pass a resolution to brand Jagriti’s family as “outcasts” to strip them of any legal standing before the DM arrives. Kalpana watches her father’s desperation, realizing that the man she looked up to is a common criminal.
The Climax: The DM’s Early Arrival
The episode ends with a massive twist. Jagriti doesn’t keep running; she heads straight for the main road. Covered in mud and scratches, she collapses in front of a black government vehicle that has arrived ahead of schedule. The door opens, and a woman steps out—the New District Magistrate. Jagriti holds out the red file with trembling hands. The final shot is of the Zamindar seeing the DM’s car from his balcony, unaware that Jagriti is already inside it.

Precap for Tomorrow:
The DM reviews the documents in the file and is horrified by the scale of the land theft. She orders an immediate raid on the Zamindar’s office. However, the Zamindar has a “Plan B”—he claims the documents Jagriti provided are forgeries and produces a set of “original” papers that name him as the rightful owner. Jagriti realizes she must find the one living witness who can testify to the forgery: the retired village clerk who has been missing for years.
